Tens of thousands of books are published every year, the vast majority for general entertainment, or tracking the latest trend.

The is a dearth of opportunity and space for emerging thought leaders and researchers to express their ideas in the mainstream, so that they are accessible and engaging.

Our purpose is the elephant's unerring sense of direction, leading us toward watering holes of original thought and untapped wisdom. Just as an elephant uses its tusks to dig for water and its trunk to reach for the highest leaves, we use our resources to unearth hidden gems from earnest authors and researchers, making them accessible and engaging for the mainstream.

Life and society is not organised in the same way as univeristy departments - into disciplines. That's why we value diversity of thought, and interdisciplinary approaches to important topics and issues.

Our editors are not just there for our purpose. We take a position that authors often require a soundboard to test and explore their ideas. In practice, editors are more like mentors for authors - challenging, supporting and offering new approaches to better communicate complex ideas and stories.

On one hand dense and jargon-ridden work remains completely aloof from most people; on the other hand, precision and complexity cannot be ignored. Our books and authors use literary devices to turn complex ideas into compelling ones.

We take pride in great design. The design communicates far more than the look. Our minimalist approach foregrounds content whilst flavouring the final pieces with elegance.
